The History of University of Kansas Colony |

|
In the fall of 2002, several ladies formed an interest group to unite women of all nationalities with a purpose of building a strong Asian-American voice among women at the University of Kansas. The fourteen women realized that their individual voices had been left unheard and overshadowed by the growing student body. As a result, these women united to establish a strong, solid foundation in which their values and traditions were reflected and instilled for years to come.
On June 1, 2003, the fourteen women accomplished their goal of establishing a sisterhood of Alpha Phi Gamma at the University of Kansas. The traditions and integrity of the sorority are demonstrated through the dedication of its members and will continue to strengthen for many years to come by instilling those same attributes in its new members. Alpha Phi Gamma has enhanced these ladies' lives by contributing to their personal growth, and providing lasting friendships and memories.
