Alpha Phi Gamma is the first Asian-American interest sorority at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. We have been established since February 1, 1994. With each new member, Alpha Phi Gamma has been able to reach the next level in both sisterhood and dedication. Each sister's unique personality, nationality and interest has contributed to the ongoing success of the sorority.
The purpose of Alpha Phi Gamma is to increase Asian Awareness at the university and to the community. In order to do so, we take part in service and social activities which include our participation in AIDS Walk LA, Revlon Run/Walk, Chinatown Firecracker 5K/10K Run, and Race for the Cure to name just a few! We also participate in social events with other organizations on campus and off campus.
To ensure that everyone gets to know each other, Sisterhood Events are set up. These events range from hanging out at school, going out to eat, BBQ's, watching movies, or study sessions. The possibilities are endless! New members are also given a "Big Sis" who is there to guide you through your pledge-ship and to be your friend and confidant.
To help you get acquainted with us, each of our schools set up different events in which you can meet the members of Alpha Phi Gamma and vice versa. We hope you take this opportunity to attend our rush events, at which time, you will meet and discover what APhiG is about.
